Football, Lacrosse, and More Lacrosse

So many things have happened in these past couple of days it's crazy. First off, the PATRIOTS won the Super Bowl which I am thrilled about. It definitely shut all of the annoying and obnoxious Seahawks fans up. It was also the perfect time to give all of my friends a hard time and not feel bad about it, at all.
Besides the Super Bowl I have had quite a bit of lacrosse happening. My friend Brianna and I had the wonderful opportunity of being able to try out for an invite-only comp team. We were psyched because the e-mail we received said that if we made the team we would have the opportunity of going to three nationally ranked tournaments and one of them to qualify for the U-15 National Lacrosse Tournament. We ended up meeting at a store so we could carpool down to Salt Lake together. We had Subway in the car and Brianna turned on her pump up music (Jonas Brothers) the entire way down.
We finally got to the field where the tryouts were supposed to be held and we kind of got a little confused..
We got out of the car and walked to the area and there were only THREE others girls there. Like seriously? We realized this whole team thing was basically a joke and wasn't going to be nearly as good as the put it out to be. The tryout only lasted 30 minutes when it was supposed to last 2 hours. Throughout that 30 minutes Brianna and I were laughing and messing around because it was such a joke.
Brianna and I right after we left the wonderful tryouts

We left right when that ended so we could get to our high school practice on time, which we did. It was a successful practice and we got the play we've been learning down. Yesterday we also had a practice on our high school field under the lights and it was freeeeezing! We were all bundled up in our sweats and sweatshirts, but it was super fun. We had some sprinting practice which always feels great, and we did more of our play work. The team is getting closer and closer and it's nice getting to the know upperclassmen more.
We have a lot of work to do to get ready for our first tournament in Vegas but I'm super duper excited for it.
Oh! Also, there is a track meeting today after school. Today we will see if I'll actually be able to run and throw, hopefully my schedule works with it. I'm getting stupid butterflies thinking about it, but I always get nervous about sports and doing something new, that's good, I guess. The only thing I am actually anxious about is the people on the team. I've had some dumb problems with a couple of the girls and I feel like they will dislike me even more if I do their sport. I'm trying to get that out of my head because if I want to do it I'll do it for me. I'm not going to let annoying girls stop me from doing a sport.
